Employers: Learn how to support housing, community redevelopment
Employers from west suburban Cook County are invited to learn how they can help their employees afford housing costs and support community redevelopment initiatives in West Cook County.
The briefing will be on the Charter One Workforce Housing Initiative from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 13 at Forest Park Village Hall, 517 Des Plaines Ave.
At the event, presented by Charter One, the West Cook County Housing Collaborative, Oak Park Regional Housing Center and Metropolitan Planning Council, employers will discuss current workforce housing issues in West Cook County and learn about a variety of ways they can benefit their employees, communities and their own bottom lines. For instance, they'll hear about employer-assisted housing (www.metroplanning.org/eah), through which employers help their employees afford housing costs.
