- Harvard's Joint Center for Housing Studies released its 2005 State of the Nation's Housing report, which illustrates how the homebuying boom has affected households of all ages, incomes and backgrounds, increasing homeownership's financial risks while decreasing affordability for millions of workers who are "taking longer, more costly commutes to lower housing costs."
- Regional Connection Fall 2005 highlights the many achievements of the EAH strategy kicked off by MPC in 2000. The feature article, "The Little Program that Could," provides information about how Illinois' EAH initiative began with just one employer in 2000. That successful program led to the creation of state matching funds and tax credits and more than 50 more employer sign-ons by the end of 2005.
